“Measuring National Well-being: Life in the UK, March 2014 provides the latest overview of wellbeing in the UK today. A snapshot of well-being is provided across the 10 domains of well-being (for example, Health, Where we live, What we do); together with a brief overview of European comparisons. The report is the second summary of life in the UK to be delivered by the Measuring National Well-being programme and will be updated annually.”

“Abstract

This article examines the relationship between commuting to work and personal well-being using regression analysis. It identifies how time spent commuting and method of travel affect life satisfaction, a sense that our daily activities are worthwhile, and levels of happiness and anxiety.”

Measuring National Well-being – Health, 2013 – Office for National Statistics [UK] – 19 June 2013

“Abstract

This article analyses by age and other variables two of the current measures of national wellbeing: ‘satisfaction with health’ and ‘evidence of mental ill-health (GHQ)’ and their relationship to well-being. There is also contextual information about other variables related to health which may affect an individual’s well-being. The data used are from Understanding Society, the UK Household Longitudinal Study (UKHLS) 2010–11.”
